ABOUT

ME

Musician turned Marketer

At the age of 16, I loved being the neighbourhood piano teacher.  It was my first professional job and I loved inspiring the talented group of kids who lived just around the corner from me.

Music has been my centre for as long as I can remember.  Started piano at 5 years old, singing at 7... Children's Opera Chorus, Ukrainian dancing, saxophone, local music groups, guitar, Vesnivka Woman's Choir, mandolin... and recently am now a one-man-band for my 2 year old boy.

They say music uses both sides of the brain - the right side to produce and respond to music, and left side to process musical elements such as pitch, tempo, rhythm, and melody.  This is likely why I have loved brand marketing from the very start - with both sides of the brain engaged during creative breakthroughs, having that “aha” moment of insight when the answer to a problem suddenly appears, to the problem-solving process leading up to the insight, analyzing, processing, uncovering patterns, and navigating through ambiguity.

I have been fortunate to have worked with a myriad of tier 1 brands.  Canadian brands.  Developing local strategies and content for these brands.  Been given the autonomy and accountability to discover new insights for organizations, disrupt the norm, and to deliver results.
